Dante Celebration: Opening Party on 2nd Dec | by the Lit&Phil

We are proud to support this initiative by the Lit&Phil in Newcastle
Thursday 2 December 6pm
Not that a party needs an excuse, but the opening of a three-week celebration of the life and works of the Italian poet Dante some seven hundred years after his demise is a pretty good one! Following on from the great success of our Grand Reopening Party in early September, we had many requests to keep up the party spirit and we listened.
  • The party will take place in the atmospheric and evocative main library
  • Free drinks and Italian style nibbles are included in the price of the ticket
  • Dress code: smart casual. Laurel headgear optional.

The exhibition will be formally opened by Sean O’Brien whose talk about translating The Inferno is the following week, December 8th.

The Dante exhibition opens on the 2nd December and will be displayed within the main library until 23rd December.

Location: Lit&Phil, Newcastle
